    What is carbon steel plate ?

    The steel plate is a flat-like steel cast with molten steel and pressed after cooling 


    It is flat, rectangular and can be rolled directly or cut from a wide steel strip.

    The steel plate is generally divided into thin steel plate 0.2-4 mm, medium thick steel plate 4~60 mm, and extra thick steel plate 60~115 mm.


    The steel plate is divided into hot rolling and cold rolling according to rolling.

    The width of the sheet is generally divided into 500~1500 mm; The width of the thickness is 600~3000 mm.     Henghui steel product production process

    The production process of steel plates begins with raw material preparation. The raw material is usually billet, which is a large piece of steel that is melted in a steelmaking furnace. In the raw material preparation stage, we need to conduct quality inspection and screening of the billet to ensure that it meets the manufacturing requirements.

    Heat treatment process. Heat treatment is to change the structure and properties of steel by heating and cooling. Common heat treatment processes include annealing, normalizing, quenching and tempering. Annealing process is used to eliminate the internal stress and defects of steel, improve its plasticity and toughness; Normalizing process is used to improve the hardness and strength of steel. The quenching process is used to cool the steel quickly and form a hard and brittle structure; The tempering process is used to reduce the brittleness of the steel after quenching and improve its toughness.


    Rolling is the process of plastic deformation of a billet through a rolling mill so that it becomes a steel plate with a certain shape and size. The rolling process is divided into hot rolling and cold rolling. Hot rolling is carried out at high temperature, which can make the steel more prone to plastic deformation, but the surface quality is poor; Cold rolling is carried out at room temperature, which can improve the surface quality and dimensional accuracy of the steel.

    Cutting is the process of cutting the steel plate to the required size. Common cutting methods include shear, flame cutting, plasma cutting and laser cutting. Cutting is cutting the steel plate to the required size through the shear machine; Flame cutting is the use of oxygen gas and acetylene gas combustion of high temperature to cut the steel plate; Plasma cutting and laser cutting use plasma arc and laser beam to cut steel plates.


    Molding is the process of processing steel plates in accordance with the desired shape. Common forming methods include stamping, bending, drawing and pressure forming. Stamping is the use of punching machine to press the steel plate into the desired shape; Bending is the bending of the steel plate into the required Angle through the bending machine; Drawing is the use of a drawing machine to stretch the steel plate into the desired shape; Pressure forming is the use of a press to press steel plates into the desired shape.


    The surface treatment is to improve the corrosion resistance and beauty of the steel plate. Common surface treatment methods include galvanizing, spraying and polishing. Galvanizing is to immerse the steel plate in molten zinc to form a protective layer of zinc; Spraying is the steel plate sprayed on a layer of anti-corrosion paint or paint; Polishing is to polish the surface of the steel plate by mechanical or chemical methods to make it smooth and bright.
