What is scaffolding tubing

Pipework is our name for the material used to build scaffolding, because most scaffolds use tubular bamboo or steel pipes and other pipes.  There are generally two kinds of steel pipes used to build scaffolding, one with an outer diameter of 48mm and a wall thickness of 2-3.5mm;  The other has an outer diameter of 51mm and a wall thickness of 2-3.5mm;  According to its location and function, it can be divided into vertical rod, horizontal rod, sweeping rod and so on.

Bamboo and other bamboo are scaffolding tubes that have been used for a long time, but due to lack of safety and durability, it is now only used in the construction of small buildings such as self-occupied buildings in rural and relatively backward urban areas. In modern building construction, the most commonly used type of scaffolding pipe is steel pipe, because the erection of scaffolding to meet the needs of workers, but also to meet the stable and durable characteristics of scaffolding, so strong and hard steel pipe is the best choice. The selected steel pipe generally requires a smooth surface, no cracks, no bending, not easy to rust, in line with the relevant national material standards.

Specifications standard for scaffolding pipes

There are generally two kinds of steel pipes used to build scaffolding, one with an outer diameter of 48mm and a wall thickness of 2-3.5mm;  The other has an outer diameter of 51mm and a wall thickness of 2-3.5mm;  According to its location and function, it can be divided into vertical rod, horizontal rod, sweeping rod and so on.  According to "Safety Technical Code for Steel pipe scaffold with fasteners in Construction" JGJ 130-2011 [1].  The scaffold steel pipe shall adopt the current national standard "straight welding steel pipe" GB/T13793 or "Welding steel pipe for low pressure fluid transport" GB/T3091, as stipulated in the Q235 ordinary steel pipe;  The steel quality of the steel pipe should comply with the current national standard "Carbon structural steel" GB/T700 Q235 grade steel.  The scaffold pipe should be Φ48.3×3.6 steel pipe.  The maximum mass of each steel pipe should not be greater than 25.8kg.
