Galvanized strip steel is cold-rolled or hot-rolled, long and narrow steel plates coated with a layer of raw materials called (zinc) to varying degrees. Hot dip galvanizing has the advantages of uniform coating, strong adhesion and long service life.
Complex physical and chemical reactions occur between the hot dip galvanized strip steel base and the molten bath to form a tight zinc-iron alloy layer with corrosion resistance. The alloy layer is integrated with the pure zinc layer and the strip steel matrix. Therefore, its corrosion resistance is strong.
Technology
The first stage
The whole roll of strip steel is pickled and decontaminated to achieve a bright and clean surface.
The third stage
The galvanized strip plate is put into storage, and the galvanized layer can be according to customer needs, generally not less than 50g/ square meter, of which any sample shall not be less than 48g/ square meter.
The second stage
① Hot dipping zinc: After pickling, it is cleaned by ammonium chloride or zinc chloride aqueous solution or ammonium chloride and zinc chloride mixed aqueous solution tank. Then feed into the hot dip plating tank for galvanizing.
② Hot dip galvanizing: After pickling, it is cleaned in the tank of ammonium chloride or zinc chloride aqueous solution or mixed aqueous solution of ammonium chloride and zinc chloride, and is sent into the galvanizing tank after continuous annealing furnace.
③ Straight galvanizing: After pickling, it is sent into the continuous annealing furnace and into the galvanizing tank for galvanizing.
The post-treatment of galvanized strip steel includes three aspects, passivation, pre-phosphating and oiling. First of all, the galvanized strip steel should be passivated, which can improve the surface structure and luster of the galvanized layer, improve the corrosion resistance and service life of the galvanized layer, and improve the binding force of the coating and the base metal. The passivation treatment is mainly chromate passivation.
Some activators, such as fluoride, phosphoric acid or sulfuric acid, are added to the passivation solution to obtain a thicker chromate film after passivation. When there is fluoride in the passivation liquid, the surface tension of the steel strip can be reduced, the film formation reaction can be accelerated, and the chemical polishing effect can be increased to make the passivation film fine and bright.
